Rachel Franco was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Rachel Franco has worked as a bilingual educator in the Southwest where Franco received a Teacher of the Year award in 2002.
Since she was a little girl, Rachel Franco was afraid of getting breast cancer and of losing her mother, two fears that would haunt her during her formative years and into her adult life. Suddenly, during the summer of 1997, Ms. Franco was forced to come face to face with both of her fears simultaneously. Her experience prompted her to share her story, a story of successfully overcoming her fears, knowing it can help others in similar situations. In fact, Rachel Franco is a pen name chosen to give the author complete anonymity in order to focus on the message of her powerful book.
Ms. Franco is the proud mother of three loving children and currently resides in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
